I've sorta been using this picture as a somewhat template for the Ood doll I've been making - great job! But with mine, I'm making it mostly out of felt and I'm going to put two important things in his hands. One hand will hold his brain, the other will hold the Transmitter-ball-thingy.
I'll post them after I figure out how to make him. I've never made dolls before, so this is my first. And, how did you machine embroider the eyes on your doll? I thought it was a BOUGHT doll, not a handmade one! Could you give me some times on how to make him, please?
Sure! I use a Brother SE400 embroidery machine for my eyes. Since you're just starting out I suggest iron ons or you could make some fabric eyes and applique those on. There are a few free human type patterns here on dA. You can try to sew those as practice and once you're comfortable with it, you can make your own pattern. Hope that helps!
I've already made the eyes, head, brain, mouth (with it's tentacles) and voice transerver. All I need to do is make the body. What would be the best way to do it? Make the torso, and sew the legs and arms on? That's what I was thinking of doing. Then I'd sew everything (eyes, mouth, ect) on and stuff and close it off.
